Year 2 Lime
We have had a busy but enjoyable few weeks in Lime Class working on our ‘Land Ahoy!’ topic.
The children have created brilliant pirate wanted posters and written great forest school recounts. The class thoroughly enjoyed their transition morning to Willow Class and meeting their new class teacher, Miss Robinson. We are looking forward to making the most of our last few weeks together in Lime Class and are particularly looking forward to our pirate wow day next week.
English: We will be using persuasive language to write our own message in a bottle.
Maths: We are looking at measuring volume in litres and millilitres before looking further into telling the time and problem solving.
Science: We are continuing our learning on 'Animals including Humans' by looking into what makes us healthy and designing our own investigations so that we can answer simple comparison questions.
Topic: We are continuing our topic ‘Land Ahoy!’ and will be learning sea shanties and researching famous sea explorers of the past.
We ask that you continue to read with your children on a daily basis throughout the school holidays.
We can’t believe it is almost time to say goodbye to Lime Class. The Year 2 Team
